Bridge 23

Blue Lias  Miller's Kitchen pub so it's predictable and expensive. Having said that it's OK for a meal - very popular with weird internal decor - seems to be modelled on a Charles Dickens era street !! February 2004 (CA)
A very friendly pub, cosy and welcoming. Excellent food - ample portions - varied menu and very pleasant staff. April 2004 (CW)
Bridge 25 Two Boats Good pub lunch May 2004 (CH)
Bridge 26 Harvester It's a walk up the road into Long Itchington village but the beers and "simple" food are very good and good value. February 2004 (CA)
Bridge 50, Warwick Cape of Good Hope  Excellent pub for good food and beer. Great location to moor overnight February 2004 (CA)
Bridge 63 Woods, previously Tom of the Wood pub Excellent meal - lamb shank, roasted garlic and rosemary for me and a pint of "Piddle in the Wind"!
Good moorings.
April 2004 (JP)
We all had a few bevvies in the Tom O' The Wood (now called "Woods") but it was not a particularly pleasurable occasion. The pub has just been refurbished and gone is the cosy feel (and its unique name) and it's changed into a sparse and rather cold feeling place. Not our cup of tea really, however, the barman was welcoming and the beer was okay. March 2005 (PK)
Bridge 65, Lapworth Navigation  Excellent food and beer. Try to get a seat in the bar as the back (family) room is soul less (very welcome though if you've got young kids) February 2004 (CA)
Bridge 107,

Catherine de Barnes

Boat Inn  Predictable Miller's Kitchen pub but there's nothing really wrong with the place and there's nowhere else to go.  February 2004 (CA)
Good menu, nice pub, very acceptable food, Youngs Chocolate Stout on draught April 2004 (JP)

Navigation Notes
Bridge 78 to Bridge 87 Be prepared ! The long cutting north of Catherine de Barnes is full of leaves, so a blast of reverse is regularly needed. Much rubbish cast into canal nearer Birmingham so a few trips down weed hatch will be necessary. Real risk of hitting something submerged and nasty in bridge holes - suggest approach each one slowly and out of gear. The pound is often shallow to exacerbate the problems. February 2004 (CA)
