Worsley Bridgewater Hotel Big pub that lacks custom. Not my kind of pub but the beer choice and food were quite good. June 06 (CA)

Dunham, Bridge 28 Axe & Cleaver A chef & Brewer pub (boo) but in a very attractive setting with some interesting food (hurrah). The cask beers on offer were however less than inspiring (boo hoo). June 06 (CA)

Shopping & Facilities

Worsley There's a tiny P.O. stores which, on your lucky day, might have some bread or milk, otherwise don't bother ! June 06 (CA)

Lymm Two delis, a Somerfields and a few other idiosyncratic shops are within easy reach of the moorings at Bridge 23. June 06 (CA)

Good & Bad Moorings

Grocers' Warehouse Superb moorings on both sides of this canal cul de sac (turn left if emerging from bottom of Rochdale 9). Very quiet - plenty of room to wind - only minutes away from restaurants, pubs, shops, museums, theatres etc. June 06 (CA)

Navigation Notes

General Bridgewater is deep throughout and with many straight wide stretches so can easily manage 4 mph. June 06 (CA)
