Car parking (free)

Ask where to park after unloading. Parking is usually on grass just inside gates. Gates are locked at 1700 daily, but BW key unlocks them. Ownerships (March 2006)
Heritage will provide taxi phone numbers to get back to the marina from Kidsgrove station. The marina car park is locked after 5pm but it uses a padlock unlocked with a standard BW key. CH (June 07)
Arrival by boat There are steel pilings before and after the Marina entrance. You can get into the Marina on Thursday afternoon and stay the night on the pontoons. The boss and engineer arrive very early to start work. We were on our way home from the Marina by 0800. JM (April 2006)

Valets BOAT VALETING SERVICE - comments from Heritage

PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

We are pleased to offer a valeting service on a limited number of boats on a first booked first served basis. The price is £30. If you have had pets on board £35.

It is essential that your boat is available for us to start the clean no later than 9.30 am. If it is not available we may not clean it or an extra charge may be made!

Our cleans cover:-

All exposed indoor surfaces, cooker tops, ovens, fridges, windows, bathrooms toilets and all floor surfaces and carpets. Areas not covered:-

Ceilings or inside cupboards and drawers, or under mattresses.

Clearing of vessel or household rubbish,

Washing up drying or putting away of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc, any external surface of the boat brasses etc.

Clearing out of stove fires or removing any kindle or ashes

We want to offer the best possible service. Should you have any problems with our service or require clarification please do not hesitate to speak to me.

Special Instructions
  • Advise yard direct if unable to take boat out on Friday as they'll moor it out of the way until required.
  • Advise yard if you expect to arrive after 1700 so that opening of gates can be arranged.
  • On return to boatyard moor on front near shop and seek instructions.
